Ange & Em's Civil Ceremony photographed @ St Giles House, Norwich

As we only take on so many weddings a year (to allow us enough time to work on everyone's images) we just had space for three more before the end of the year (one in November, one in early December and one at the end of December).

The only Wedding I photographed in November was a Civil Ceremony which was Ange and Em's day that all took place at St Giles House in Norwich.

This is a venue that I haven't photographed at before but I had been to earlier in the year to meet up with another couple to design their album so felt happy working here as there is plenty of scope for great photos. St Giles House has so many rooms with different feels to them from the elegant chandeliers to the retro bar area. Fortunately I got to photograph in a lot of the rooms which was great fun.

I photographed this wedding on my own as there were less than 30 of them and they only wanted coverage of the daytime. I started with them getting ready which was great as Ange and Em helped each other to get into their dresses with a little help from Ange's bestfriend Claire.

When they were ready Ange and Em came into the ceremony on their own through opposite doors. Here's a few photos taken during the ceremony which I was told I could take without flash.

Afterwards the guests went down to the bar area whilst the room was being turned round. I asked Ollie (the guy in charge on the day) if he could tell me when the room was clear so that I could take some photos of the couple in there as they wanted lots taken with the chandeliers. Here's some of those photos.

Before I had taken Ange and Em off we did a large group shot on the stairs and they had their confetti here as well which worked fantastically.

St Giles House has so many quirky aspects to it to work with. I love this one of the two of them leaning on a wall of mirrors so you get some fab reflections.

I also love this one of them with a diffused effect on it which was taken in the bar area on an animal print sofa.

A little later the guests were taken back upstairs for their meal and I left them at this stage. I am sure they will have gone on to have a wonderful evening though.

Ange, Em and their family and friends were all lovely to work with and I hope that they all love the photos as much as me. The images are now online so if you would like to view their wedding photos please get in touch with them for a password. I am expecting your proof book back on Monday so as soon as it arrives here with me I'll get it sent to you together with the DVD of all your images.

Jason & Jackie's Wedding photographed @ Spains Hall, Finchingfield

The last Wedding we photographed at Spains Hall in October was Jackie and Jason's day.

This is a wonderful venue that we love working at and in comparison to last week's weather this one was superb. We saw the return of the lovely autumnal light which looks great in their images.

I started with Jackie getting ready at Crest Lodge at Spains Hall. Here's a couple of those photos.

They actually got married at Finchingfield church - here's some photos of Jackie arriving with her son and the bridesmaids (their daughters)as well as some during the ceremony.

I love this one of them and their children taken afterwards

followed by the confetti

before we went on to the pond area in Finchingfield to do a couple of photos there before returning to Spains Hall for the reception in the Walled Garden.

Here's some I love of them taken back at Spains Hall.

After their meal we had the speeches. The bestman bought Jason some underwear as part of his speech - he had left a sticker on them though saying they were on offer - 2 for £10 (I think that was the offer). Jason then joked about only getting one pair saying he thought that the bestman had only bought them to get new pants himself. The bestman then revealed he was wearing the other pair. Here's the sequence of photos from that.

When the speeches had finished everyone had to come out the room so that it could be turned around for the dancing. Jackie and Jason came out first as she'd organised a chocolate fountain as a surprise for him. Here's a couple of those photos.
Have a quick peek at their cake!

This week we were fortunate to have a full moon and no cloud making for wonderful bright skies at night. Here's a photo of the two of them in the moonlight which I adore.

For the dancing they had practised their first dance which was great. They had a Frank Sinatra singer who kept everyone entertained. Here's a few photos of the dancing

If you attended Jackie and Jason's Wedding and would like to view their wedding photos they are online now.

I really enjoyed this wedding and Jason and Jackie were a lovely couple to work for. It was great meeting up with them both last Friday to go over the final designs for their books. I'll be in touch again soon when they're ready for you.

Libby & Adam's Wedding photographed @ Castle Hedingham and The Bull, Long Melford

The next Wedding we photographed was at Castle Hedingham and The Bull, Long Melford which was that of Libby and Adam's.

What a wonderful group of people this was to work with. Both family and friends were kind and receptive to us which always helps when trying to capture lovely relaxed photos.

Here's one of Libby's mum during the getting ready which I love

The selection below were taken at the Castle before and as Libby arrived. It was a beautiful venue with great scope for photos.

The ceremony took place in the main room which was all in candlelight which looked beautiful. Here's some photos during the ceremony. Fortunately the registrars were very kind to us and let David shoot from the balcony whilst I was allowed to stand at the front and take a few.

Afterwards, we went outside and the guests braved the cold weather to do some photos.

Libby and Adam's friend was going to do a fly-over but sadly it was too windy. Here's a couple of photos of him anyway as he'd gone to a lot of effort for them.

Back in the Castle we only had a short amount of time to do some photos of the two of them before we had to leave. Here's some of those photos.

The confetti shots at the Castle can be taken from the bridge with the couple stood below. The only trouble being that the dried rose buds didn't really float down very well so you can hardly see them in this photo. However, the one David shot from above shows them all being thrown!

Back at the Bull we took a lot of relaxed photos of the guests before they went in for their meal.

After the meal was their speeches and dancing and here's some of those photos.

If you attended Libby and Adam's Wedding and would like to view their wedding photos they are online now. They have the password which I'm sure they won't mind sharing.

We loved working with Libby and Adam and their family and friends and had a superb time which I think is reflected well in their photographs. I can't wait to meet up with them both in the new year (when they are next back this direction as they live a long way away) to design their album with them.

When I get a little more time after Christmas I will write up testimonials for all the weddings that I haven't yet written up the couples comments for as so many people have sent us wonderful comments which we really appreciate.
