Wedding Bookings for 2010/2011

I can't believe I've managed to get this blog almost up-to-date again (I'll write up the December weddings in January).

This is just a reminder to all of you planning to get married in 2010/2011 who are still looking for a photographer. We do limit ourselves to taking on only 25 weddings a year so that we have plenty of time to spend on each wedding and to allow us to give all our couples the individual care and attention that we think they deserve. Every year this leads to some disappointment when we turn couples away so please if you are planning a wedding for 2010 get in touch soon as we are nearly fully booked now.

The main summer months in 2011 are also likely to get booked quickly at the beginning of next year when we attend several wedding fairs, exhibitions and open days (I'll put notes of where we are and when on a separate blog post in the early part of next year).

We hope to hear from many of you planning a wedding soon and hope that we'll be able to help you

The Wedding of Diana and Ashley @ The Channels Golf Club, Chelmsford

Our next shoot was in October and was Diana and Ashley's Wedding which took place at Channels Golf Club, Chelmsford. They were really hoping to get an autumnal feel to their wedding and we were hoping for lots of gorgeous changing colour leaves on the trees. I must admit I was a little nervous as a couple of days before their wedding there was some really strong winds and I thought that all the leaves on the Horse Chestnuts at Channels might have fallen off but thankfully, there were still loads of them and they look fantastic in their photos. This was a fabulous day with a beautiful little flowergirl and mischievous pageboy.

Here's a selection of photos from their day starting with the end of Diana getting ready and some detail shots

I love this one of Diana sorting her dad's cravat before they left

Here's the pageboy and flowergirl who were both adorable

Here's some of Diana arriving followed by a few taken during the ceremony

Here's some taken at Channel's where the leaves just looked perfect with their colour scheme

If you attended Diana and Ashley's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are online now. They have the password which I'm sure they'll share with you!

After seeing their photos Diana and Ashley sent us the following e-mail:

'Hi Hayley,

Thank you so much for the wonderful pictures that you took of our wedding. We seem to have spent the whole weekend just going over them and reliving our wedding day all over again. Its hard to believe that it
was only 2 weeks ago! I think that it is going to be very hard to choose photos especially once the proof book arrives. We were with our pageboy and flowergirl yesterday and were showing the pictures to them and their parents. You certainly captured some great shots of them. So now I must get busy and email everyone about your website and password so that they can all have a look.

Thanks once again to the both of you for some fantastic pictures and I will be in touch soon.

Best wishes,

Diana and Ashley'

Thanks for taking the time to e-mail and for sending us a thank you card since then. I can't wait to meet up with you both in the new year when you are next back this way to design your book with you. You've been a wonderful couple to work with and we hope that you have a very long and happy marriage.

Trash the Dress Photo Shoot at Holkham, Norfolk

A couple of days after Katie and Liam's Wedding I photographed a Trash The Dress shoot with them which took place very early in the morning at Holkham in Norfolk. This is a wonderful place on the Norfolk coast with both pine forest and large expanses of beach. I absolutely adore all the photos from this shoot and it was nice to be able to spend some time setting up the shots without worrying about the dress getting dirty. Despite being called a Trash The Dress shoot the aim isn't to destroy the dress completely just to be more creative with photos than you could be on most wedding days. They also bought their dogs with them (Steve and Brooke) who added to the shoot.

Here's a selection of those photos starting with the two of them in the pine forest

Then down to the beach where we did a few that they could use for their Thank You cards - here's just one of them

We were blessed throughout the shoot with beautiful lighting and gorgeous blue skies.  You can almost believe you are on a Carribean beach when you see the colours of the sand, sea and sky in these!

Thank you Katie and Liam for making this shoot so much fun and for being game to try pretty much everything!!!

The Wedding of Katie and Liam @ Yaxley Hall, Suffolk

The last Wedding we photographed at the end of September was at Yaxley Hall. This was a beautiful day and the fact that Yaxley Hall is a fantastic wedding venue just made it even more special. If the weather was good the plan was always to have the ceremony outside which fortunately it was and so we did our first outside ceremony (although technically Katie and Liam had to stand in a gazebo/temple which was licensed).

What a great day this was - they had a black and white theme and even all the guests had been asked to follow the scheme which they did. It all looked very stylish.

Here's a selection of photos from their day starting with David photographing the boys and then followed by me photographing the girls getting ready

Here's a few taken during the ceremony

They asked their guests to throw confetti when they walked back down the aisle which worked really well

Here's their large group shot together with a few photos of them

Here's one of Katie's sister listening to Katie's speech

If you attended Katie and Liam's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are online now. They have the password which I'm sure they'll give you!

After seeing their photos Katie sent us the following e-mail:

'Hi Hayley,

We love, love, love our photos!! We just don't know how to pick!!!
We are so excited about starting our book!!

Katie'

Thanks for the sweet comments - I'm glad you love your photos as much as we do and that you are thrilled with your final photobook which was sent a couple of weeks ago. We very much enjoyed sharing in your day and I loved doing the Trash The Dress shoot with you both a couple of days later (I'll write a separate post on this!). We wish you all the best for your future and a long and happy marriage and hope that you'll stay in touch.
