The Wedding of Abby & Matt @ Kings Lynn Town Hall, Norfolk

The last wedding we photographed at the end of December was Abby and Matt's wedding which took place at Kings Lynn Town Hall . For a December day it was obviously cold but it didn't matter at all as their ceremony was at 4pm and it was all indoors. Here's a selection from their day starting with the boys arriving:

Here's Abby arriving looking beautiful

Her sisters were all bridesmaids and before the ceremony they were reading their dad's speech to check it was all ok

Here's the boys waiting for it all to start

Here's a few taken during the ceremony - we were very lucky that I was allowed to photograph at the front whilst David shot from the back of the room

Here's a selection of them taken afterwards - both Abby and Matt hate having their photo taken so I was lucky that they gave me a little time to take some of them and we love the results!

They did their toasts before they ate and here's a few of them

and a few more of just them ....

If you attended Abby and Matt's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are now online and they have the password which I'm sure they'll share.

Abby and Matt were a lovely couple to work with and their friends and family were great. We are glad they had a safe journey back to California and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

Reprints stuck in the post

Hi All,

Just a quick update to let you know that all Christmas orders were sent last Tuesday (14th).  Whilst I know that the majority of you have received your prints a couple of you have said that they still haven't arrived.

I've followed Royal Mail up this morning who have said they are experiencing substantial delays over the Christmas period - they are also saying that the adverse weather conditions have caused a back log meaning everything is taking longer than usual. At the moment they will only say they should be delivered to you within the next 3-4 days and that I cannot say they are lost until it gets to two weeks unfortunately!

I hope that they all arrive before Christmas and I am so sorry about this unexpected delay.  This is the first time we have had any problems with deliveries from Royal Mail and we can only apologise for any reprints that are not received in time

The Wedding of Rachel & Nick @ The Assembly House, Norwich

Our next September shoot was Rachel and Nick's wedding which took place at The Assembly House in Norwich. We were lucky with the weather as Rachel was arriving by horse and carriage and my fingers were crossed that they'd arrive in the dry (which they did although it was a little blustery!). Here's a selection from their day where we started with Nick and the men arriving at The Assembly House:

Here's Rachel arriving together with her bridesmaid and mum and dad

Again we were lucky to be allowed to photograph from both the front and the back during the ceremony - I love these photos

As Nick (and most of the guests) hadn't seen the horse and carriage they waited until after the ceremony so that he could come out and sit in the carriage with Rachel and have some photos taken

The confetti floated beautifully - as it was windy outside it was a little chilly so whilst the guests went back inside to keep warm I took the photos of just the two of them outside before we also went in to warm up

When they sat on the edge of the fountain I'd told Rachel to be really careful not to get her dress in - unfortunately I didn't warn Nick at all and he put the tails of his suit in which caused a lot of laughter and a slightly wet bottom!

The line-up had a lot of lovely cuddles involved in it

I love this of their toes when they were sat at the fountain - I also thought that Rachel's slightly peach-toned dress was very unusual and looked beautiful with her skin tone

Here's the main room set up for their afternoon tea - we left them at this point

If you attended Rachel and Nick's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are now online and they have the password which I'm sure they'll share.

A couple of days after their wedding (and before they'd even seen their photos) Rachel and Nick kindly sent us the following e-mail:

'Hi Hayley,
Just a quick e-mail to thank you and David, for being such amazing photographers at our wedding. It feels wrong to 'just refer to you as photographers' as you played such a huge, but all the while respectful and discreet part in our wedding.
We have heard from so many of our friends and relatives how you put them at ease with your friendly and positive manner. Also, the events manager at the venue said you had been "the best photographers" they have worked with.
I know it meant so much to people that you called them all by their names, how you manage to remember everyone I don't know!
Thanks again, I can't wait to see our photo's.
Rachel and Nick xxx'

Rachel and Nick were wonderful to work with and are a gorgeous couple who we are sure will have a very happy marriage. I can't wait to give you your finished album soon.
