Here's a selection from their day
Here's the resident dog (Lily) at Butley having a nap whilst Mel was having her hair done
I love this one of Mel looking very beautiful
This was the headpiece that Mel's mum had worn at her wedding - sadly Mel's parents are no longer with us but it was lovely to have so many little touches from their wedding day to be captured in Mel and Rich's day
Mel is incredibly organised and had all the gorgeous little bits and pieces out ready for me to photograph
Here's the little flowergirls looking out when the horse and carriage was arriving
Mel's flowers were stunning
David started with the boys and the guests arriving at the church - here's Rich and the vicar making sure the paperwork is all correct!
Rich's bestman was his son Lance who did a great job (and I'm told gave a fantastic speech later in the evening although we had left by then)
Rich had the most gorgeous pocket watch - I love the little finishing touches like these
Rich looking a tad nervous ....
Here's Mel and her bridesmaids arriving in the horse and carriage
and a few naughty guests peeping out of the church window
I adore this photo of Mel and I love the all the ceremony ones
Keeley (Lance's girlfriend) made all the confetti cones and they looked amazing
I love adding a vintage effect when you have an old fashioned horse and carriage to work with
When we arrived back at Butley Priory Lance played the piano for a while which sounded great
For a very tiny part of the reception Mel and Rich's dog walker bought Jess (Mel and Rich's very friendly dog) along to see them both. I'm really pleased they had Jess come to some of the day so that we could get a few photos with her in as well
Mel and Rich's day was quite small in numbers so here's a photo of everyone
Here's Rich with his brother and sisters
The little girls were all charging around and I love this one of them running together
Here's a small selection of photos of just the two of them which I love
Mel had spent a long time on all the little details which looked gorgeous
If you attended Mel and Rich's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are online now and they have the password which I'm sure they'll share with you.
Thank you also to Mel for the lovely e-mail she sent me after seeing the photos which is really appreciated. Here's her comments:
'Hi Hayley,
WELL!!! What can I say. I knew you were a good photographer, and David, and it all went well on the day, but you still wonder..... will they all be there, will I like em, will I look good, and you two certainly scored 110% on them all.
There are some lovely photos though, some magic moments, not just of us but family and friends! Really really great, and I haven't even finished going through them yet!!!
Thank you for getting a photo of everyone arriving at the church, I was most concerned about missing that, but no, even Sue the organist is in there, and Alex too :0)
We're really, really pleased, thank you Hayley and David, and look forward to all photos and proof book soon.
Thanks a million
Mel & Rich
x'
Mel and Rich have been a pleasure to work with from start to finish and we wish them both a long and happy marriage. We hope that you'll stay in touch with your future news
Also our thanks go to Alex and Emma from Camera on films who were the husband and wife team videoing the day. This is the first time we've worked together and it was a pleasure - if we have future clients looking for videographers we'd certainly recommend you both and we look forward to seeing the film when it's complete.
