When Kate and her brothers and cousins went off for their first day at school they had a photo taken of them on her parents driveway and Kate wanted to re-create this photo years later
The girls all looked stunning and the flowers were beautiful
David started with Neil and the boys at the church who looked very handsome in their top hats and tails
Neil was so excited when I arrived at the front of the church as it meant that he was about to see Kate and he couldn't wait
Neil and his bestmen all had different colour socks on which I saw for the first time when they were sitting during the ceremony
When we left the church it had just started to rain but I love these ones because of the quirkiness and because of Neil's enthusiasm to embrace the day regardless of the weather
Shortly after I took some photos under the brollies the rain cleared for a while so we could throw the confetti outside - I always adore confetti pics!
Before going on to the reception we went up to an old oak tree on the farm where Neil had proposed to Kate to take some photos and used the nearby stubble fields whilst we were there. The ominous storm clouds on the field photos I think may them even more dramatic and special
Ahhhh .... Pimms, the drink of choice at summer weddings and it always goes down very well with guests
This is Georgie, the latest addition to Neil's family and his niece - despite her being so little she was adorable and very well behaved
The storm clouds grew closer and closer but thankfully we managed to get our large group shot done just 5 minutes before the heavens opened
I love their vintage-style table plan
The speeches were after the meal and were really enjoyable
By the evening all the storm clouds had cleared and we had gorgeous blue skies so the guests could enjoy being outside mingling
The barn where the dancing was to be held was very prettily decorated with wheat and lavender
Just before we left we took a couple of evening photos where Kate and Neil look so relaxed and happy
Once Kate and Neil had viewed their images they kindly sent us the following e-mail which I'm sure he won't mind me sharing:
'Hello Hayley,
We love the pictures. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you so much for being so fabulous. So many of our family and friends commented how great you and David were. So thank you so much again.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kate x'
Neil's mum Gill also e-mailed me the following message after seeing Kate and Neil's photos:
'Hi Hayley,
just emailing you to congratulate you on your photos of Neil and Kate, especially in the field and with the storm clouds. They look very unusual, very 'Gone with the Wind' in style. You did really well to capitalise on a potentially disappointing situation.
Well done you.
Gill (Neil's mum, the one in the pink jacket!)'
Kate and Neil are a fantastic couple who we hope will have a very happy marriage. We love their images and think that the storm clouds make the photos on the stubble even more dramatic. It was a pleasure meeting and photographing you all and we hope that our paths will cross again in the future. I look forward to designing your album with you both soon.
