The Wedding of Claire and Ian @ Spains Hall, Finchingfield

Our last wedding of the year was straight after Christmas and was Claire and Ian's Wedding which took place at Spains Hall in Essex. We managed to dodge a lot of the showers that were around and did get outside for some photographs.

Here's a selection from their day starting with me joining Claire in the Tapestry Room at Spains Hall getting ready:

I love Claire's stunning hair piece

Claire had her grandmother's wedding dress adapted to fit her which was a lovely idea and she looked stunning - I'm sure if her grandmother could see her in it she would have been very proud

Ian's mum made Claire's unusual bouquet (very clever lady) and it had lots of different brooches attached to it, many with family history and significance

The bridesmaids posies were gorgeous and the anemones are something we don't see often but they're so pretty

I love this photo of Claire's dad seeing her for the first time in her dress, if a picture can tell a thousand words then I think this is one of those photos!

David started by joining Ian and the boys in a local pub

Just as Claire had a lot of sentimental touches to her outfit Ian had his grandfather's pocket watch

The main Elizabethan Hall at Spains is very grand

These are some of my favourite confetti photos - I especially like the unusual star shaped confetti even matching their colour scheme

All the tables were named after Father Christmas' reindeer which was a nice Christmassy touch

The speeches were really good

Later in the evening before dancing Claire and Ian joined their friends in a toast

These cupcakes looked delicious

After Claire and Ian had seen there photos Claire sent me the following e-mail which I'm sure she won't mind me sharing:

'Hi Hayley,

Thank you, thank you, thank you. They're perfect! I have looked through all the images so many times now and love them more and more each time. I especially love the confetti ones and the ones where we're facing each other under the tree, they're truly lovely. As I said before all the ones of our guests are so great too, it's so brilliant to see that everyone was having such a happy and jolly time which is exactly what we hoped for. 

The one of my Dad's reaction to seeing me in the dress makes me cry again every single time! So thank you for documenting our day so beautifully. 

We're really pleased with our photos and can't wait to get them up around the house :-)
