The Wedding of Gerald and Julie @ Spains Hall in Essex

The last wedding we photographed in July was Gerald and Julie's wedding which all took place at one of our favourite venues - Spains Hall in Essex. This was a delightful day with brilliant sunshine and a relaxed, chilled out vibe. Spains Hall is a delight to photograph at as the gardens and buildings are all beautiful. I am very thankful to Julie and Gerald for allowing me lots of time to photograph both them and their groups without having to rush around at all.

Here's a selection from their day:

The magnificent Elizabethan Hall where the ceremony took place

Here's a handsome looking Gerald arriving with his bestman and mini-bestman

Julie got ready in the Tapestry room with her bridesmaids

I love that the bridesmaids had the same dresses but in different colours and the rainbow coloured theme that ran throughout the day - so bright and cheerful you can't help but smile

Julie had stunning bright purple shoes

This is Julie's flowergirl

What a proud dad

Julie looked incredibly beautiful

Gerald keeping himself occupied whilst the guests arrived

Julie's flowers are so colourful - I love them

Straight after the ceremony Julie's dad who's a Pastor gave a blessing ceremony

Then out into the gardens for drinks and canapees served by The Cambridge Dining Company - their food always looks scrummy

Both Gerald and Julie wanted to do their bridal party ones in a more relaxed way

Then the short walk over to the Stables for the wedding breakfast

Julie and Gerald made their seating plan

The speeches were brill

Then onto cutting their unusual and quirky cake

Julie and Gerald wanted to do all their couple photos in the early evening which was perfect as we could wander around the gardens without guests in the background and just enjoy the tranquility

Whilst they didn't have an outdoor ceremony it was still nice to use this area in the rose garden for some photos

When they got back to the guests fun, games and running races began

If you attended Gerald and Julie's Wedding and would like to view their wedding photos they are online now, there is a password but I'm sure they'll happily give it to you.

Gerald and Julie are a wonderful couple. They are both thoughtful, kind and caring and were a pleasure to photograph. We adored sharing their day with them and their friends and family and only wish we could do it all over again!! We know that they only got back from their honeymoon yesterday but we hope that they'll love the photos as much as we do and we can't wait to design your album with you soon.
