This day had a lot of different elements to it. Firstly they had added an additional marquee for guests to eat the hogroast in (no formal seating plan) to keep it relaxed and informal. They had a bouncy castle, a play area for children, a magician (we had seen Noah Kelly a couple of years ago at a wedding and had recommended him to the couple - it was nice to see him again - he's very good at his job) and played rounders outdoors in the evening.
Right, let's go back to the beginning of the day. The weather forecast was not good (rain again) but fortunately Cheryl arrived with only a little drizzle of rain and the rain held off until after the ceremony so at least the guests arrived in the dry.
After the ceremony the heavens opened so we had to stay indoors for a little while. Here's a photo of one of the staff at Elms Barn holding up the roof of the Marquee and the rain trickling in!
As well as the main cake above they also had loads of little cupcakes with smarties on
After a while the weather cleared and we were able to go outside and take a few photos out there. Here's a few of those photos
Here's also some photos of the magician, guests playing rounders, on the bouncy castle and so on which helps give a real feel for their day.
In the evening they had a band playing. Here's a couple of photos of their first dance

This wedding had a wonderful relaxed feel to it which hopefully you can begin to see from the photos above. I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We wish Cheryl and James a wonderful future together and look forward to hearing from them soon regarding photos for their book
