So, the first Wedding I photographed took place at Cley Windmill in August and was that of Sarah and Simon.
This was a tiny wedding (10 people including them!) and so I left David at home and just photographed on my own for this one. What a great bunch of people to work with. Although the weather wasn't glorious sunshine everyone still enjoyed themselves. They had their ceremony at the windmill and then we went down to Cley beach in a minibus for Strawberries, Cream and Pimms at the seaside.
Here's a selection of their photos
Here's a couple of Simon before the ceremony
Followed by a couple of Sarah getting ready - Sarah and Simon really liked the Black&White and Colour mixes but as they had a fairly neutral colour scheme we thought this may be hard to do UNTIL Sarah revealed some fantastic bright pink shoes which was just the ticket! You'll see the results further down!
The ceremony room at Cley is tiny and can only hold about 20 people maximum so space is always a little tight - here's a couple from this part of their day
The windmill kindly gave me permission to put the guests on the balcony for this one briefly (which isn't usually allowed) as there was so few of them which worked really well
Here's some more taken at the windmill - I love this vintage one
I adore this sepia group shot on the beach as they're unpacking the strawberries - it gives it an aged look that I think works well with this setting
They even threw a little confetti here - I was so pleased to have caught it as it was so breezy it that the confetti seemed to disappear almost instantly
Then some of just the two of them
Sarah and Simon often take photos of their feet when on their hols etc so we thought it would be fun to do the same shot on their wedding day
If you attended Sarah and Simon's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are online now. They have the password which I'm sure they'll share with you!
Once they'd seen their images they kindly sent me the following e-mail:
Hi Hayley,
The photos are absolutely fantastic - we can't stop looking at them and smiling!
We're especially pleased at how you've managed to capture every special moment and all the fun and laughter of the day. Everyone commented how lovely you were and how they felt totally relaxed around you. You fitted in perfectly.
Thank you so much,
Best wishes,
Sarah and Simon'
I had a truly lovely day and enjoyed being part of such an intimate occasion. I wish Sarah and Simon all the luck and love in the world for their future together - I'm sure they'll be very happy.
Sarah had a beautiful bouquet ....
..... and a lucky six-pence in her shoe
Here's the scones they ate before we went to the beach - don't they just make you feel peckish looking at them ......
