The Wedding of Karen and Alan @ The Swan in Lavenham

Right, let's get back on track with writing up all the wonderful weddings and portraits we've had the pleasure of photographing. In the middle of August, on one of the hottest days of this year I photographed Karen and Alan's wedding which took place at The Swan in Lavenham.

This was a gorgeous, intimate, small wedding so David didn't join me to photograph this one. Karen and Alan have two girls, Kate and Hannah who were a delight to be around and Karen's mum flew all the way in from South Africa to be a part of their day. Here's a selection of their photos for you to have a peep at starting with Karen and the girls getting ready

Kate loved her photo being taken and kept popping up in a lot of the photos which was really cute

The ceremony was wonderful and really sweet when Hannah and Kate did their readings














Afterwards, we went out into the gorgeous walled garden for drinks and canapees

I love the ones of Karen and Alan on their own - such adoration and love in their eyes for each other
















Karen made her wedding cake which looked amazing, I think she could well have a new career path here!










I left them when they sat down for their main meal

 Karen and Alan are a relaxed, happy couple who I'm certain will have a long and happy marriage. I love their images and will be putting a fair few on the website over the winter months. Thanks to the two of you and to your friends and family for making me feel so welcome and for the delicious elderflower cordial which was very welcome in all the heat!
