Rachel's dad had got her some diamond earrings as a surprise and I waited downstairs with the bridesmaids whilst he had five minutes alone with her
David started with the boys when they arrived
The ceremony itself was in the Great Hall which is beautiful
Whilst Spains Hall staff organised everyone out the front for confetti I snuck off with the bride and groom for a few photos indoors!
When we did the group shots they asked to do a few more 'informal' formals which made everyone laugh
The roses in the garden were still all in bloom and looking beautiful so it was nice to use them in some of their photos as well as the gorgeous old tree that's there
The speeches were very emotional - here's a small peek at a few
At dusk we did a couple more photos outside
Here's a few taken during the dancing
I love these ones taken at night - it was quite difficult to take as we wanted to capture Spains glowing in the background but to shoot without flash when it's completely dark means using very long exposures and no-one moving - I am really pleased with the results!
There day had a lot of sweets involved which was wonderful and a candy bar - I thought it was a really cute touch having the napkins tied up with the sweet necklaces!
Rachel and Michael kindly sent me the following thank you card after their wedding:
'To Hayley and David,
Thank you so much for taking such beautiful wedding photographs on our big day. We had the most wonderful wedding day and you helped us feel relaxed all day long. Many of our friends and family have commented on how great you were.
Thank you
Love
Michael and Rachel
