The Wedding of Lu and Pete @ Roydon Church and Church Farm, Thrandeston

Our next wedding in the middle of May was Lu and Pete's Wedding which took place at Roydon Church followed by their reception at Church Farm in Thrandeston. This is the first time we've had the pleasure of photographing at Church Farm and it is a stunning venue with gorgeous grounds for photographs. There are fixed marquees on site and a completely separate dance marquee which is great as it means no turfing the guests out straight after the meal to turn the room around. The weather was warm and overcast but it didn't rain and in fact was perfect conditions for taking photos.

Here's a selection from their day starting with me joining Lu getting ready at her parents and David started with Pete at the church:

Lu is so beautiful and photogenic and looked stunning in her dress

Pete doesn't particularly like having his photo taken but he looked dashing in his suit and still managed to smile for the photos all day

The bridesmaids looked amazing in their bespoke dresses (made by one of the ushers)

It's nice to see an unusual Morris Minor as the wedding car

What lovely neon pink socks all the groomsmen had on - this is the first time I saw them whilst we waited for Lu to come in!

I love this one of Lu coming in and Pete looking at his sister to gauge if Lu was there!

Many thanks to the Vicar for letting me shoot at the front of the church and David at the back - in means we have fabulous ceremony ones!

Usually when we do a confetti aisle we don't see quite as much confetti - by far this is the most confetti we've ever seen thrown and I love the photos for it!

We did our group shots back at Church Farm in the gorgeous gardens - although the flowers were behind it did mean we could take some photos of Lu and Pete next to the Oilseed Rape field which was in full bloom

I loved making this black and white photo almost an infrared image with the yellow really bright

Along the marquees were lots of childhood photos of Lu and Pete

All of the speeches were brilliant!

Lu's mum made the main cake and it looked amazing

After dinner the children played games outside including a game of cricket

I love their first dance photos - the smoke machine gives them a really wistful, romantic feel

Lu and Pete are a gorgeous couple. It was a pleasure to share in their day with them and their guests were very welcoming to us. We are certain that Lu and Pete will have a long and happy marriage ahead of them and we hope that our paths will cross again in the future.
