The next wedding we photographed in September was Sophie and Matthew's wedding which took place at Balsham
Church followed by their reception at The Black Bull (also in Balsham). This was a great day with
generally good weather (although it was drizzly early on in the day it got better as the day went on).
Here's a selection from their day, I started with Sophie at her parents house getting ready (which was a stone's throw from the church) and David started with Matthew and his mum arriving at the church:
I love their wedding invite!
Their little flowergirl was so sweet and well behaved
Here's one of Sophie's pair of wedding shoes that she was going to swap to in the evening
Sophie looked stunning in her dress
Here's Matthew arriving with his mum
Matthew looked dashing in his grey suit
Sophie, her dad and the bridesmaids walked in the drizzle to the church
Now that's an excited bride waiting to come into the church if ever I saw one :-)
Balsham Church is beautiful and the vicar kindly let me photograph at the front and David at the back of the church which we are very grateful for as we love these photos and are certain they'll allow Sophie and Matthew to relive their ceremony for years to come
Sophie and Matthew wanted to do a large group shot and as there wasn't much room outside and at The Black Bull to do this we decided that the back of the church would be the best place for it
A few groups at the church before their photos and then onto the Black Bull
I love these of them in the church
Sophie's other pair of lovely shoes the lucky lady
Fab cake!
It was nice and toasty with the fire going
They'd put out loads of table games and colouring books for the children and adults alike
The room for the wedding breakfast looked lovely
Everyone had a playing card as their name card which was unusual and something we've not seen before
Their were also lots of fun things at the main tables
Look at this for a dessert table - all by Patisserie Valerie and they smelt out of this world
The speeches were brill
Even Sophie gave a speech and read a Shakespearean Sonnet to Matthew
A great finger print wedding tree
If you attended Sophie and Matthew's Wedding and would like to view their
wedding photos they are online now, there is a password but I'm sure they'll happily give it to you.
Sophie and Matthew are a really sweet couple who we hope will have a very happy marriage. We love their
images and can't wait to design their album with them soon once they've chosen their selection.
