It was a treat to meet up with Alanna and Ben again for their special day especially as I'd already had the joy of photographing them a few months earlier when the bluebell woods were in flower.
We had a wonderful day and here are a small selection of their photos starting with Alanna getting ready at her parents house whilst David joined Ben and the Boys at the Woolpack pub in Fornham:
Alanna looked beautiful
Alanna had written Ben a really lovely card for their wedding day
Alanna had four gorgeous little bridesmaids (and two lovely big bridesmaids) who were very sweet and well behaved
Many thanks should go out to the vicar who we've worked with before but again he was really kind in letting me photograph from the front and David from the back so we had all angles covered - this makes for some beautiful photographs and will hopefully allow Ben and Alanna to relive the ceremony all over again through the images for years to come
A couple of formals at the church before Confetti and on to the reception at Haughley Park Barn
I love old cars - why can't they make them so that they look like this which is stunning (but with new engines and reliability and not a huge price tag - I know I'm asking a lot here!)
The kitchen garden was looking amazing for their wedding - last year the flowers weren't like this until the end of September/October!
Alanna's bouquet smelt fantastic (the freesias were so scented) and looked really pretty
Alanna's sister and mum were busy putting up some of the finishing touches that had come from the church
Either love them or hate them the glass sculptures at Haughley are definitely a talking point. Ben and Alanna loved them and wanted to use them in their photos
Such a funny set of speeches which concluded with the bestman playing some rap music that Ben had made in his youth .... just so, so funny. I nearly couldn't hold the camera straight I was so busy laughing
Alanna is a teacher and all her class had made her this gorgeous bunting with wishes on for her. They were sweet and funny in equal measure - one of them just said 'Be Strong' - hilarious!
I love the retro jars of sweets - yum
Alanna's cousin made them their cake which looked amazing
If you attended Alanna and Ben's Wedding and would like to view their photos they are now online and they have the password which I'm sure they'll give to you.
Alanna and Ben were a gorgeous couple to photograph with a great set of friends and family who made us feel very welcome. We wish them a lifetime of happiness together and hope that their images will allow them to remember all the special moments of their day for many years to come. I'm really enjoying designing their book with them at the moment and we'll also be adding a whole load of their images to the Haughley Park Barn gallery in the wedding venues section on our main website over the next few months.
